Marketplace Economics is an independent research publication. It measures how price changes moved sales rank in individual categories on Amazon marketplaces and publishes the results with their confidence intervals and the full method.

It sells nothing, carries no advertising and is not sponsored. The reports are produced independently of any client relationship.

I sell on Amazon. Hanseatic Commerce GmbH, in which I am involved, operates private label brands in a small number of categories. My employer, Front Row Europe GmbH in Hamburg, advises brands that sell on Amazon. Categories in which either has a commercial interest are excluded from this publication. The views expressed here are my own and not those of my employer.
